Karin Kaufman has over 20 years of sustainable landscape design experience. Her commitment to environmentally friendly design comes from both her great love of the outdoors and from early in her career, when she worked under one of the leaders of the sustainability movement in Southern California. Whether it be for public use or a private home, Karin strives to incorporate innovative storm-water management techniques, sustainable community design, and the use of renewable and recycled materials.

She uses sustainably sourced and durable materials to create personal environments tailored to each client’s unique lifestyle and setting. Motivated by her principle of using landscape to foster well-being, Karin weaves climate-appropriate plantings with art and architecture to promote deep respect for the natural environment and encourage seamless indoor/outdoor living.
