As part of a report commissioned by City Council to address current conditions and potential improvement of a public park in downtown Nevada City, KKLA worked with the Calanan Park Committee to create this design which includes replacing dense, evergreen trees and overgrown shrubs with flowering shrubs and deciduous canopy trees for lighter, dappled shade; accessible pathways connecting all areas to each other and to the adjacent sidewalks; and small gathering spaces.
